I stayed in a room with a view of the stunning Whangarei Harbour and it was absolutely breathtaking. I loved having my own private balcony to relax and take in the beautiful scenery. The room was also equipped with air conditioning which was a nice bonus. And the free WiFi came in handy too!

Personally, I wasn't a fan of the showers in the rooms. They had a small size which made me feel a bit cramped.

I liked the room with great view. All the staff was well-trained and genuinely helpful, fixed my issues. The location was peaceful - a few steps away from everywhere I wanted to go.

Absolutely great hotel with awesome staff on service and welcoming smile, everything was great. The room was tidy with tropical view, comfortable bed plus air con, reasonable prices. The location was marvellous and beautiful for traveling around Whangarei, adjacent to Paihia.

The rooms at Comfort Hotel Flames Whangarei are absolutely amazing! I stayed in one with a view of the Whangarei Harbour, and it was breathtaking. Sitting on my private balcony, I felt like I was in direct touch with nature. The tropical gardens were also a delight to behold. The air conditioning was a great perk, keeping me cool and comfortable during my stay. The free WiFi was a bonus, allowing me to stay connected. the room was cozy and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.

Personally, I found the shower in the en suite bathroom a bit small. But hey, that's just my opinion and others might not mind it at all!

the room i was offered was good sized and wonderfully decorated with good views and comfortable bed, as example, liked it. the service was great and the pool was lovely.

I absolutely loved the cozy and warm atmosphere of this lovely hotel. The decorations were tasteful and reminded me of a quaint countryside cottage. The common areas were well-maintained and easily accessible for senior people like me. It was such a joy to relax in the comfortable seating areas and admire the beautiful views.

If there was one thing I would ask for to make the vacation even better for senior people, it would be to have a staff member available to assist with carrying luggage. The children working there were polite and helpful, but having assistance with heavy bags would have made the experience even more stress-free.

The place provides reasonable prices, had an awesome stay on Sunday's and Public Holidays. Its location is marvellous with an excellent view of the estuary...

Title: Tropical oasis with delicious food and fabulous ambience. The restaurant offered fantastic food made with local ingredients, and the ambiance was just perfect. I loved relaxing in the lounge bar after a long day. Free airport shuttles were a nice touch too.

The craft market indoors at Flames Hotel was such a disappointment. not.

We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel! The location in the outdoor garden was absolutely stunning, with tropical gardens and a pleasant view from our room. The staff provided top-notch service, always welcoming us with a smile and ensuring our needs were met. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, with a large TV perfectly positioned for lounging and relaxation. We also took advantage of the room service dinner, which was delivered without any additional fees. this place exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be staying here again whenever we travel through the area.

super friendly staff - rooms are so clean and beds are comfy. location is great - close to evrything in town. enjoyed the pool with the grandson and the wifi was a plus. loved the views from the room and the beautiful grounds. the courtesy bus to the airport was handy. all around great stay!
